Lyme Disease Healing Workshop at Old Forge Library

Jessica Maureen Hinsdill will lead an enlightening workshop titled “Lyme Disease — Improving Recovery with Herbalism” at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at the Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd.

Exploring a Holistic Approach to Lyme Disease

This workshop will explore a comprehensive approach to addressing tick-borne illnesses, providing an overview of Lyme disease and its co-infections. Hinsdill will highlight various herbs known to alleviate symptoms, helping individuals restore their bodies to balance.

Understanding Lyme Disease and Its Impact

As the most prevalent tick-borne illness in the United States, Lyme disease affects many people annually. While antibiotics successfully treat most cases, some patients experience lingering symptoms for months or even years. This workshop aims to address these persistent issues through natural remedies.

Jessica Maureen Hinsdill: A Journey in Herbal Healing

Hinsdill has been her family’s go-to herbalist, using herbal medicine and holistic living to heal everyday ailments like scrapes and colds. Her personal battle with Lyme disease led her to pause her studies in holistic nutrition and focus on her recovery through herbal support.

Wild Soulstice, LLC: Promoting Herbal Education

Currently studying with the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, Hinsdill founded Wild Soulstice, LLC to provide the community with herbal education and support for Lyme disease recovery. Her passion for herbalism drives her to share this knowledge with others, fostering a community of wellness.

Herbal Study Group Sessions at the Old Forge Library

In addition to the Lyme disease workshop, Hinsdill also leads Herbal Study Group sessions at the Old Forge Library. These sessions, available in summer and fall, focus on local herbs and feature a different herb each meeting. Participants have the opportunity to build a supportive community and revive a culture of wellness. These sessions encourage individuals to regain confidence in nourishing themselves, their families, and their community.
